Good Morning. It’s been a good couple of days. My plan for today is to get over to Burghardt. Take some final pictures and list the property. It is such a good feeling to have that sense of completion, even though I am far from done with it. I am thinking that I will list it today and defer showings until an open house next Saturday morning.Now I realize open houses do not work, but I am not trying to use it to sell the house. Actually I am trying to give some education to Angela and my son Jonathan. Both are pursuing getting a real estate license. I think it will be a good experience for them to be there for an open house in its entirety. This will give them hands on experience from the angle of hosting. They will get to observe who comes through, the kinds of questions to ask them and how to possibly create new business for themselves. When you are getting started as a real estate agent, you need clients. Open Houses are a great way to make that happen. If you remember what I told you last time about open houses, most people who come through haven’t started working with an agent yet. This is part two to the industry secret. Real estate agents do open houses to get new clients, not sell your house. It makes sense now doesn’t it?
Now in my case I am just too busy with my investing and my clients that are working towards becoming solid investors, to be bothered trying to find new buyer clients. I am very good at that too of course, but it is just not where my passion is. I really love investing and the freedom it gives you. And I want to share that with anyone who wanting it too.
